Qualified students can seek employment internationally under the Canadian Government Live-In Caregiver Program.
The Live-In Caregiver Program is administered jointly by Human Resources Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
The Live-In Caregiver program exists to help meet a shortage of Canadian workers and permanent residents working in an employer's home and providing a vital healthcare service.
After working a full 24 months out of the three years authorized to work in Canada under this program, GTCIS students (now Live-In Caregivers) become eligible and may apply for Permanent Resident status in Canada. Your immediate family (husband/wife & children) may also qualify.
GTCIS recommend that students visit the CIC website for updates as often as possible.
